What your Belize trip can look like
Ambergris Caye & Caye Caulker: Island life, diving and beach luxury
Cayo & Mountain Pine Ridge: Maya temples, jungle lodges, river & waterfalls
Placencia & Hopkins: Garifuna culture, food, quiet Caribbean coast
Off the beaten path: Private islands, wildlife sanctuaries, villages
Sample Itinerary: Jungle to Reef · 8 nights
Three nights in the Belize rainforest, five on Ambergris Caye. Private transfers, guided tours, hotels and a domestic flight, all arranged for you.
Day 1 — Welcome to Belize. Your Zant host meets you as you exit customs at Belize International. A private driver takes you west to San Ignacio (about 2 hours). Check in at San Ignacio Resort Hotel, then meet the residents of its Green Iguana Conservation Project.
Day 2 — Into the underworld. A full-day guided trip to Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM Cave): wade, swim and climb into a sacred Maya cave where ancient pottery and remains still lie where they were left. The adventure most travelers call the highlight of Belize.
Day 3 — Temples and waterfalls. Cross the Mopan River by hand-cranked ferry to climb El Castillo at Xunantunich for views into Guatemala. In the afternoon, swim in the pools and falls of the Mountain Pine Ridge.
Day 4 — Jungle to island. Head east by private road transfer, then a 13-minute flight from Belize International to San Pedro. Check in at Sunbreeze Hotel, steps from the beach and town.
Day 5 — The Barrier Reef. A guided snorkel trip to Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley: sea turtles, nurse sharks, rays and coral gardens, minutes from shore. A tour that is steps away from your hotel’s beach.
Day 6 — Island time. Explore Ambergris Caye by golf cart, find a beach bar and do nothing at all. Bucket-list option: a private helicopter flyover of the Great Blue Hole.
Day 7 — Sail to Caye Caulker. A catamaran day sail with snorkel stops, lunch on board, and an afternoon on laid-back Caye Caulker.
Day 8 — Homeward. Flight back to Belize International, and take your flight back home.
Included: 7 nights' accommodation, meet-and-greet, private ground transfers, round-trip domestic flight, 4 guided tours (ATM Cave, Xunantunich and Mountain Pine Ridge, cave tubing, Hol Chan snorkel), Caye Caulker day sail, local taxes, service charge and your planner available in case something needs adjusting. From USD $1500.00 per person.
Every trip we design is different — this is just a starting point.
